 Our
village is 10 km away from Mouzaki which is the seat of the municipality, 30
km from Trikala and 38km from Karditsa
which are
the closest cities. Distance from Athens is 340km. and Thessaloniki 250 km.
You can use also the local bus from Mouzaki. View detailed map of the region

Where to sleep
 As
the accommodation in the region is limited, it is better to make a
reservation before you begin your journey especially during summer and
public holidays. Important to know that during the winter months snow chains
will be necessary

Places to visit
There are amazing points of natural beauty or historical
value that you can visit during your stay. To help you out planning your
trip here are the most important places:

Starting
from our village you can wander in the villages of
Eastern
Argithea. Visit the Monastery of
Spilia
and enjoy the natural lake of Stefaniada
formed in recent
years
after landslides.

Towards
the Lake Plastiras through Kryopigi, Anthohori, Kerasia (12km. total the
first 4km no asphalt) or towards Mouzaki 7km and then right to Kryopigi
and Lake Plastiras 20km total). We recommend a stop at Kalyvia Pezoulas by
the lake where you can have lunch or some coffee. During the summer months
you can also swim in the local beach. You can drive around the
lake
through Neochori, Belokomiti, Dam, Moucha, Kastania, Labero, Tsardakia,
Mesenikolas, Morfovouni, Kryoneri about 60 km. The best place for panoramic
view of the lake is Neochori village.
At
the dam area you will find local products and souvenirs. Highlights of
religious interest are Panagia Pelekiti (placed inside a rock) and Monastery
Korona but it will take small detours.

Visit the
birthplace of the G. Karaiskakis Mavrommati where you will find his
equestrian statue (12km).
|

Route
Pefkofyto
- Mouzaki - Pili - Elati - Pertouli (48km.). Shortly after Pili you can stop
and admire the arched stone bridge about 500 years old. Enjoy the magic
route passing through the picturesque Elati, and finish at Pertouli ski
resort. Interesting also is an other arced stone bridge in Palaiokarya of
the same age (you have to bypass the planned route at Pili, following the
road to Arta - Mesochora - Stournareika-
Palaiokarya).
In the same place there is a waterfall
12 meters high.

Route
Pefkofyto
- Mouzaki - Trikala - Kalambaka - Meteora (50km.) At Kalabaka you can admire
a stunning unique creation of nature called Meteora. They are rocks 100 to
150 metres high while on top of them there are Christian Monasteries 800
years old.
Six of them are still open and certainly worth a visit (The Great Meteoro,
Barlaam monastery, Monastery of Saint Stephen, Monastery of Saint Nicholas,
Monastery Rousanou and Agia Triada Monastery).
